Wetland of South Korea
Photography, 2010
It’s a symbolic image like a religious priest(human) make an offering to city civilization. In this story, they are a sacrifice. We have a premonition of sacrifice(七面草)’s death because the land was already dried up.
Suaeda japonika Makino(七面草)is the special plants which change with 7 colors during 1 year. This plants can live only in the wetlands of huge areas, just in south of Korea and in Japan. But, they dissipated on account of the development of city. We must think about the relationship between nature and city. I think also about ‘life and death’ between the two (nature & city). I think that ‘Nature is dead for human’.
